ABOUT ME
My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges and improve their quality of life. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. I believe that awareness and perspective are keys to changing patterns and helping us move out of challenging moments. My goal is help clients gain clarity so that different choices can be made and change can happen.
With over 15 years of experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have worked with a wide variety of clients. My post graduate internships included work at the Ronald McDonald House in Los Angeles where I served as a therapist to children and families facing life threatening medical situations. Many of the areas of concern that arose from this population included grief, PTSD, anger, depression, strained relationships, anxiety and fear of death and dying. I have also worked as a Trauma Recovery Intern for a large mental health provider servicing the homeless population, victims of domestic violence, eating disorders and other women's issues related to depression, anxiety, relationship problems, infertility, sexual disorders and postpartum. Prior to starting my private practice, I spent four years working as a therapist and case manager to severely emotionally disturbed adolescents in a locked, residential setting. Prior to focusing exclusively on private practice, I held a position as a therapist for Bayside San Francisco, where I served clients struggling with addiction. Most recently I completed a year long training in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy and have been working with clients to provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and to prepare for and integrate other medicine work.
